Tommy Smothers of the Smothers Brothers with what would become the Guild D-55 in Sunburst. When he ordered his Guild, the D-55 was not part of the Guild line yet. The D-55 TV Model was officially introduced in 1968 but it was only available on a 'special order' basis. It would take up till 1974 before it became a regular model.
